Access to doctors, especially specialists, is currently limited on the Canary Islands. This shortage often forces to wait long periods for appointments or travel to other regions for care.

2. Overcrowded Local Health Centers:
Local health centers are frequently overcrowded, leading to extended wait times and rushed consultations. This situation is exacerbated during the peak tourist seasons when the demand for medical services increases significantly.

3. Long Wait Times in Local Hospitals:
Patients often face excessive wait times in local hospitals, delaying necessary medical treatments and adding stress to those seeking urgent care.

4. Challenging Communication with Doctors in Other Languages:
For tourists and non-Spanish speaking residents, communicating with healthcare providers can be a significant challenge, impacting the quality of care received and patient satisfaction.

5. Opaque and Sometimes Exploitative Pricing in Private Practices:
The pricing for services in private practices can be unclear and occasionally exploitative, causing financial strain and uncertainty for patients.

We combine this freedom with a social commitment: For each future consultation, a contribution goes directly to the CANARYcare Solidarity Fund – providing medical access for those in need.
